PlaneBusiness.com Privacy and Information Protection Statement

At PlaneBusiness.com, we value your privacy. We have created the following privacy and information protection statement and we are dedicated to strictly abiding by these policies. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact admin@planebusiness.com.

Will PlaneBusiness.com disclose any personal information about me?

We can't say this enough: No. PlaneBusiness.com is the sole owner of any information collected on this web site. We will NEVER sell, rent, share, or otherwise disseminate personal information collected from users of this web site to any third party.

PlaneBusiness.com collects information at several points throughout our web site:

Subscription to the PlaneBusiness Banter

In order to receive the PlaneBusiness Banter, our weekly newsletter covering the airline industry, we request certain information from a new subscriber. This includes contact information (such as an e-mail address and billing address) and financial information (such as a credit card number and expiration date). The contact information is used to send the Banter by e-mail and to contact subscribers in the case of a billing problem. The financial information is used to bill the subscriber for the cost of the subscription as outlined on the subscription form.

Surveys and Contests

On occasion, PlaneBusiness.com will ask our readers to submit surveys or contest entries on our web site. While we encourage all readers to complete these surveys or to enter a contest, participation is completely voluntary. Information collected may include your name, address, e-mail address, age, occupation, and readership habits (such as how often you visit our web site and which sections you visit the most). Survey information will be used to improve content and to provide generic demographics to potential advertisers and sponsors. Personal information about you will not be shared with anyone outside of PlaneBusiness.com.

Log Files

Like nearly every web site on the Internet, PlaneBusiness.com logs visitors by tracking which pages they visit. This information includes basic information about your computer's web browser, operating system, and IP address. We use this data to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data automatically stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie in our subscriber login form, the user would not have to type in their username and password more than once, thereby saving time when accessing the site again. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Some of our business partners may use cookies on our site (for example, advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these cookies.

Can I refuse to receive any e-mail messages from PlaneBusiness.com?

No. PlaneBusiness.com, from time to time, will send messages to all of our registered users announcing new services, features, surveys, contests, or other aspects of the site. You do not have the option of unsubscribing from these important messages.

Is PlaneBusiness.com appropriate for children?

Much of the content of PlaneBusiness.com is appropriate for all ages.

In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, PlaneBusiness.com has no knowledge of collecting personal information from any child under the age of 13. Therefore, we do not require proof of age or permission from a child's guardian before participating in any collection of information as outlined above.

What happens if the PlaneBusiness privacy statement changes?

PlaneBusiness.com reserves the right to modify our privacy statement at any time and without prior notice, within the constraints of the law.
